My First Week

It's been a whole week and I think my new family love me. I certainly love them, and I try very hard to be good. It's a long learning process where I am finding out what gives me treats and cuddles.
The most exciting thing that happened was becoming friends with Reno. He isn't that big after all, but he is great fun to chase around and play with. At first he was mean and he tried to hurt me even though all I wanted to do was play. I don't think he knows how to play. One night my mum decided that I should learn to sleep on my own. She put my bed beside Reno's crate, and that was the start of our real friendship.
The Meowy creatures are called cats. There are two of those called Cookie and Big Cat. Big cat likes to follow me but does not play. I try to get him to come to my play room by pulling his tail, but he resists terribly. These cats can jump to high places that I cannot reach though. This must be a strange cat game that I don't understand because I can't jump that high. Cookie watches me and if I get close he waves his paw at me. I try to wave my paw at him too but he won't let me touch him. Some day they will play chasing with me but I still don't understand their language.
Morning time is the most exciting. I am full of energy and so I am allowed to run free with Reno in the garden. I no longer fall down the steps, and there is still a lot to discover out there. This makes me very tired, after which I eat my breakfast and go for a sleep in my cosy bed. My mum has told me that I am still too little to go outside the other door where Reno goes, but she has promised to bring me there soon. I can't wait.
So what have I learned this week:
- I know my name is Kerry.
- Cats are boring.
- When my mum walks beside me she has secret treats in her hand. I try not to miss getting those.
- There is yummy biscuits which I get if I sit. Sometimes I am too excited to sit though.
- Paper is the safe place to go to the toilet.
- Ankles. I love my humans ankles too much, but they doesn't understand that and I get told off for trying to chew on them. One day they will let me chew ankles I hope.
